The buses that leave from the terminal are destined to the following States: Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Goiânia, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Santa Catarina, Paraná and Distrito Federal; as well as some of the most outstanding destinations for tourism in the country. Some of the bus companies also send cars to a few countries in the Southern Cone, such as Chile, Argentina and Uruguay.

About Porto Alegre Bus Station
Considered the third best Bus Station in Brazil, Porto Alegre Bus Station is located at Largo Vespasiano nowadays, after having been moved several times before. At the time it was first opened, in the mid-30s, the station used to be located at Oswaldo Cruz Square, formerly Coliseum Square. However, it was transferred to the Firefighter Square, currently Rui Barbosa Square, a few years later.
It was only in 1970 that the Bus station was moved to its current address, and its building was considered the most modern in South America due to its innovative architecture.
The main Bus companies that serve Porto Alegre Bus Station are the Itapemirim, Penha, Pluma and Real Expresso.
In spite of all the address changes it has been through, the station has been run by VEPPO & CIA Inc. family since it was first opened.

How to get there
By car, it can be accessed through Garibaldi Street. It is worth reminding that the station does not offer parking services. From the airport, it is a good choice to take the train and get off right at the “Estação Rodoviária” station.
